I was at this show ( my 2nd ), and we were wondering what this piece of music was, as well as the strange Bob Weir song ! I'm glad I got to hear that Playing>Wheel>Playing . Only years latter did I realize how great this show was, back then, punk that I was , it was "Hey, they played US Blues !"...

Thanks for sharing. I often wondered what it would have been like to experience that first Terp and Estimated since they were so different than anything else the band did to that point and they opened with the Terrapin. Kind of like the Crazy Fingers opener in '75. I always assumed everyone started looking at each other with somewhat quizzical stares trying to figure out what the hell was going on.

Yes and now...it was bouncey, diff, but we were so overjoyed we were there and more importantly, they were there, it did not really have the impact you'd think the particular song choice would...hearing Jerry, in that so non68 fashion, might have seemed something that would've been lost on me, but NO, in a big way, I think it wasn't unlike everyone else talking about first post coma shows and such...though there were only 4500 of us then...
